Top ranked Ohio State beats Penn State 38-14

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — After leading by just three points at halftime, No. 1 Ohio State pulled away from Penn State in the second half to win 38-14, improving to 8-0 this season. 

Quarterback Julian Sayin threw for four touchdowns, half of them to Jeremiah Smith, completing 20 of 23 passes for 316 yards, while Bo Jackson led the Buckeyes’ ground efforts, rushing for 103 yards on 13 carries.

PSU quarterback and Olentangy graduate Ethan Grunkemeyer completed 19 of 28 passes for 145 yards and one interception in his first start at Ohio Stadium. 

Ohio State extends its winning streak to 12 games while the Nittany Lions dropped their fifth in a row. 

The Buckeyes go back on the road next week to take on Purdue with kickoff next Saturday set for 1 p.m.
