ZANESVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Beaver Local girls soccer ousted Alexander, 1-0, in the Division IV Regional Final on Saturday in Zanesville.
It’s the first regional title for the girls soccer program as the Beavers improve to 19-2 overall on the season.
After being deadlocked at 0-0 in the first half, Beaver Local sophomore Peyton Dunn scored the game’s only goal in the second half for a fifth straight victory.
With the win, they advance to take on the winner of Gahanna Columbus Academy/Chesterland West Geauga in the state semifinal on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at a location yet to be announced.
