Ohio’s hemlock trees at risk from invasive insect; state offering extermination aid

Hemlock woolly adelgids, tiny insects that are native to East Asia, were initially discovered in Ohio in the southeastern part of the state in 2012 and have since expanded to 24 counties, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
