Government officials, employees banned from using prediction markets under new Ohio bill

Rep. Sean Brennan (D-Parma) introduced House Bill 887 this month. The proposal, titled the “Ohio Public Employee Event-Wagering Ethics Act,” would amend the state’s ethics laws to ban public officials and employees from maintaining accounts on prediction market platforms or buying, selling or trading event contracts.
