Judge rules jurors can’t hear about previous sex assault conviction in Mahoning County rape case

A Mahoning County Common Pleas Court judge ruled Thursday that the jury hearing the case of a man on trial for rape cannot hear from prosecutors that he was convicted previously of a sex crime and is serving a prison sentence for it.
