Honor guards are often used to memorialize military veterans — along with police and firefighters. But there’s now an honor guard around Youngstown — that pays tribute to nurses. It’s called the Nurse Honor Guard of Eastern Ohio. They attend the funerals of former nurses — and wearing their traditional, distinctive uniforms — they pay tribute to a nurses years of service.
