House Bill 722 was introduced by Rep. Adam Bird (R-New Richmond) and states “nonresidents who are unlawfully present in the United States shall not operate any motor vehicle” under threat of a first-degree misdemeanor. The bill extends only to highways and includes people who are allowed to drive on highways in other states or who hold a valid out-of-state driver’s license.
