Citizen effort to ban data centers lacks enough signatures to make November ballot
A coalition of Ohioans had hoped to put a statewide ballot issue before voters in November to ban all large-scale data centers in Ohio. Austin Baurichter, attorney for Conserve Ohio, told NBC4’s Jesse Bethea that the group collected about 70,000 signatures — far below the more than 400,000 needed to get on the ballot.
