Ohio Parole Board recommends commuting sentence of death row inmate Tyrone Noling

On Aug. 25, the board advised Gov. Mike DeWine to commute the death sentence of Tyrone Noling, 54, of Alliance, to life in prison with the possibility of parole beginning on Jan. 1, 2029. Of the eight-person board, five voted for the commutation, one recommended a full pardon and two voted against any relief.
