West Columbus church engulfed in flames after possible lightning strike

According to the Columbus Division of Fire, at around 3:50 a.m., units were called to the Cherry Creek Church on Sullivant Avenue, where multiple crews and nearly a dozen fire engines and nearly 50 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the CDF said it was met with flames approaching 30-to-40 feet in height and a massive amount of smoke.
