Superintendent Jeremy Batchelor said he and other administrators spoke with officials with the Ohio Department of Education on Wednesday morning via Zoom. Batchelor said state officials did not remove the district from “distress,” believing that will need to come in the form of state legislation, which is how the district was placed in distress initially.
